How Do I Register my New Domain Name?

It’s fast quick and Easy. Please follow the steps below and in a very short space of time you’ll have your domain name registered with “Lonsdale Domains”.

Step 1 – Start Registration Process:

Click here, click the “Register Now” use the serch bar in the banner of all pages on this site.  A new browser window will then open with “Lonsdale Domains ” in the banner.

Step 2 – Provide your Information:

Do one of two things:
If you are already a member, please log-in using the fields at the right hand side of the screen. Then carry out your Domain Name Search

If you are not already a member, carry out your domain name search by using the field provided in the middle of the screen.  Once you have checked and confirmed that the name you want is available, you will be prompted to become an “Lonsdale Domains” member. Please enter your details and choose a Username and Password.

Please insure that the heading “Lonsdale Domains” remains at the top of the screen, so you know that you are working through the correct reseller account.

Step 3 - Check your Information:

After filling in the fields make sure all the information that you have provided is correct. Please be sure to make a note of your username and password and keep it in a safe place.

Note: After creating your membership account, you may need to check that you are still logged-in as yourself. If you are in any doubt, just log-in again using the fields at the top right of the screen.

Step 4 - Accept our Service Agreement:

Please read our Service Agreement and tick the check box to continue.

Step 5 - Provide payment Information

You will be taken to a secure page where you will be asked for your credit card details. People who wish to pay by cheque or money order should call Elise Lonsdale on (03) 9807 8898 to make arrangements.

Extra Notes:

If you are registering a “.net.au”, or “.com.au” domain name, you will need to provide some extra information:

1. Company Name.
2. ABN or ACN number.
3. Company Address and Administration Contact.

If you are registering a “.org.au” domain name, you will need to provide some extra information:

1. Organisation Name.
2. Incorporation Details.
3. Organisation Address and Administration Contact.

Please be aware that registration of “.com.au” “.net.au” and .org.au” domain names may take up to one business day to approve. Payment from your credit card will not be processed until approval has taken place.

Delegation & Propagation

Upon registration of any new domain name, it may take up to 72 hours after this for that new domain name to appear in the Domain Name System, (DNS) of your ISP. This is known as “Propagation”. However, we have often seen propagation to most Australian ISP’s within a day of registration. Until propagation occurs to your ISP you will not be able to access your domain with your web browser or E-mail program.
